Meet Kristen- the face behind Balanced Pathways!

Hi! I’m Kristen, the owner of Balanced Pathways.

I’ve always been fascinated by the brain and how food can impact mental health. The same fascination that everyday plants can be used as medicine led me to study two degrees; one in nutrition and one in naturopathy. I am a member of the Australian Natural Therapies Association, and have worked with clients of all ages with various health complaints, providing me with experience and knowledge in a number of areas.

I spent countless years during my late teens and early adult life engaging in unhealthy behaviours- from addiction to chronic gut issues, anxiety, insomnia and poor nutrition. All these issues worsened the other and continued in a cycle, causing shame and guilt.  I knew my health and behaviour wasn’t aligned with my goals or who I really was.

I felt like sh*t all the time, and accepted that as normal. I knew I needed to make a change but didn’t know where to start. And I knew conventional medicine couldn’t help me, because what I needed was a transformation on a spiritual, physical and mental level. It wasn’t one thing that helped; it was the accumulation of the small, mundane things over time that have led me here.

I believe small steps lead to the biggest transformative changes, and I’ve seen it firsthand with my clients. I have a no BS, realistic approach to healthcare- meeting you where you are and showing you unwavering support every step of the way. I truly do get it and will provide a safe space for you to feel heard, validated and understood. 

I deeply care for each one of my clients and feel genuinely rewarded when they succeed and achieve their goals. Because no one should accept feeling terrible, as their normal. There is always a way, you just have to be brave enough to take the first step.

No matter what stage of the journey you’re on, it’s never too late (or early) to start prioritising your health and living in alignment.
